Lately it seems my life is consumed with this pregnancy. How could it not, though? Every day when I look in the mirror I am reminded that my expanding waistline is a blessing and with every kick and hiccup I am reminded that all too soon our lives will be changing, when we welcome our first baby into this world. But life has been crazy and I just haven't found the time or energy to do any 'real' posting. So bear with me now as I do some fancy 'bullet' points!

  • I have been back on island for 2 weeks as of tomorrow! And this time has flown by, I need more time lol
  • As of tomorrow we have 10 weeks (aka 70 days!!!) til my due date! Can you say, insane?!
  • We are in the process of selling my car...which means we have to buy me a new car, ugh!
  • I still have so much sewing to do (curtains and bedding), eek!
  • I also took it upon myself to make all the nursery artwork, ya lets just hope that it gets done!
  • Bryan has been working crazy hours and it makes my schedule all messed up as well.
  • I have spouse nights, functions and what not that are taking up quite a bit of time, they are fun and I am so glad to be involved but sometimes you need a day to yourself!
  • I may have hired a cleaning lady...but don't be jealous it's just for a one time cleaning right before Bennett arrives and before my parents and sister come for their visit! Either way I am super excited, to have my WHOLE house clean at once!!!
  • Bella has been much too clingy lately, I believe she 'knows' something is different and something big is going to be happening soon. She has also become very whiny if/when I leave the room and she can't see me. Oh boy the joys of Bella training me for a baby lol
  • Family life has been crazy, while I was back stateside visiting we found out my young cousin (she just turned 16) has cancer. So not only does my aunt have cancer but now my cousin does as well.
  • My aunt who was diagnosed with brain and lung cancer at the end of March is not doing well. Her radiation and chemo therapies did nothing for her and now they have nothing left to offer her. Instead of 6 months they are now giving her about 6 weeks. It's a complete emotional rollercoaster and I wish I could be home to spend time with family and I wish I could make it for her funeral (that may sound morbid that I am already talking about her funeral but it's not an 'if' it's a 'when', as per her doctor and estate planner she has already planned her funeral herself). She is by no means 'old' she is 53 years old and has so much life in her, it's so sad to see her so sick and helpless. I am grateful for the weekend I was able to spend with her when I was back stateside, I am happy I had that time with her and happy I can remember her being the aunt I always grew up with, she wasn't quite as sick then as she is now. Either way it's a very hard time for my family, and I know there are a lot of questions especially from her grandkids, in times like these I am so thankful that I know and have a personal relationship with God my Savior, it's comforting to know what lays after life on this earth.
  • School, oh school. How I wish I could just get a final answer with this bullet point! I have been in talking to advisors and counselors and no one seems to have the answer I am needing. I 'should' be starting classes on Monday (June 4th), but I have a feeling it's not going to happen and I will have to wait now til October! Which is NOT what I wanted to do!
  • Bryan has been busy studying for his EOC test, he actually has two EOC's because his job is so big. So he took and PASSED his first EOC last Friday!!! I am so proud of him, he did awesome and for his great score he is receiving 2 days off work!!!! Now he just needs to get this next EOC out of the way, but with the timeframe for this next one looks like he won't be doing that til' after Bennett arrives!
  • Our "To Do List B4 Bennett" is slowly getting things crossed off! Which is exciting, but still crazy that we have so much to do!
  • My family will be here to visit in LESS than 10 weeks!! I am so super excited to have them come and stay with us!
  • The weather here is getting unbearable. The humidity is awful. I am trying to spend as much time infront of a fan as I can!
Well there you have my life in bullet points. Nothing too interesting and nothing that required it's own post. Hopefully I can get back in a blogging groove before too long, I do miss blogging regularly.

29 weeks!

How far along? 29 weeks! (and 3 days as of today)

How big is baby? about the size of an acorn squash, or about 2.5 pounds

Weight gain? I have gained 12 pounds according to my doctor appointment last Friday! They were happy with that since I hadn't gained hardly any at my last appointment, I guess my Stateside eating really helped in that area!!

Maternity clothes? oh yes! Bottoms are now all maternity (except for yoga capris I can still wear my normal ones), and mostly shirts are as well unless they are stretchy and dresses are non-maternity for the most part.

Stretchmarks? Nope! I am happy to say that I haven't gotten any yet!!!

Sleep? I sleep pretty good! I used to be a terrible sleeper and it would take me FOREVER to fall asleep but now it seems as soon as I lay down I am sleeping!

Movement? Yes! Bennett is a MOVER I love it! One of the greatest parts of pregnancy!

Food cravings? I don't really have any strong food cravings that I can think of.

Name? Bennett Remington

Labor signs? Not yet, and it can stay that way for another 10 weeks!!

Belly button in or out? In! But becoming more and more shallow.

Rings on or off? I am happy to report that they still fit and are still on!

Morning sickness? Never really had it!

What I miss? Sleeping on my belly!!

What I am looking forward to? Finishing the nursery! Only a few more things to go and then it will be DONE!!

Weekly Wisdom? When the mood strikes to clean, CLEAN because you may not feel like doing anything an hour later lol!

Milestones: Well, I have officially 11 weeks left, but I am hoping it's more like 10! I also passed my glucose test!!! Yay I am so happy about that one!

A Baby Shower!

While I was back in the States my mom and sister decided to give Bennett and myself a baby shower!! Since my parents only had about 3 days notice before I arrived home, the shower was a quickie that was 'thrown' together! Even with guests only having a week an half notice there were still about 20 people there and it was the best afternoon ever! Even living so far away I really feel that Bennett is already loved so very much by all our friends and family!! Here are some pictures from that afternoon, I did not include the game/action pictures somehow I just looked completely unflattering in them lol!
The cake table! Our nursery is going to be lime green and aqua so they incorporated those colors!

This cake was so cute!! We are adding in alligators to the nursery, so they used that as well!

My mom and lil' sister pointing to Bennett!

28 weeks!

How far along: 28 weeks! (and as of today 28 weeks and 3 days!)

Weight gain/loss: Well since I am back home I officially weighed myself...and looks like I am up a total of...12 pounds! So that puts me at gaining 8 pounds while in the states, which I don't think is too bad considering I ate out every single day! And really that is just 2 pounds a week (can you tell I am trying to convince myself that it's not a bad thing lol)

Gender: Boy!

Movement: YES! Bennett LOVES to move now if only I could get him to do it on command lol

Sleep: Pretty good, I am finding myself to be pretty exhausted, that could be from my travels this past week, but I took a 4 hour nap yesterday, and then went back to bed like an hour after I woke up from said nap!

What I'm looking forward to: Spending time with my hubby! I have missed him so much this past month while I was back in the States! Also getting stuff done in Bennett's nursery, since we only have LESS than 12 weeks!!

What I miss: Family (but that is the story of my life lol). Also I am missing being able to breathe easy, seems Bennett has taken up residency in my rib cage!

Cravings: Not too many cravings since I have been home, except I really wanted Burger King yesterday lol

Symptoms: I officially have Braxton Hick contractions, my belly button keeps getting more shallow (which I didn't think was possible I had a DEEP belly button to begin with!), heartburn is back in full force (zantac 75 is my BFF along with Smoothie Tums).

Best moment this week: Getting back to Okinawa late Thursday night and seeing my hubby and my little Bella! Also reaching 3rd Trimester, holy cow can't believe I am officially in the last part of this pregnancy! Seems unreal!

Guess where I am? I am in the beautiful land of Hawaii! Yup, my flight home on Space A has been grounded in the this beautiful place for over 24 hours! How awesome is that?

So if the above makes you think I am having a grand ole' time, I am not. I have been stuck here for over 24 hours and there is no end in sight, sadly the only thing I have seen is the inside of the terminal and the hotel room I slept in last night. And tonight...well there are no hotel rooms available. Oh, I love this little thing called SpaceA haha. Sadly they make you take your luggage EVERYWHERE with you, so it's not like I can just leave it and go wonder around base, nope because there is no way this pregnant lady is lugging around 100 pounds of suitcases plus my carryon. So here I sit in the terminal.

So yup that is where I am at. Hopefully, crossing my fingers, and saying a thousand prayers we will be flying out of here tomorrow...if the plane gets fixed. Never thought my first time seeing Hawaii would be like this...but I am making Bryan bring me back here one day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today is a day where I sit back and really think about my mom. I think about my mom a lot especially with being so far away now, but today I think more about all the things I am thankful for about her.

My mom is one of the greatest women I know, she would do anything for myself and my sister and my dad. She puts herself last to make sure that we have what we need or to make sure we are taken care of. Growing up I may not have always appreciated all she did or tell her thank you enough, but I believe growing older and getting married I realized just how much she really did do all those years! From the smallest things to the bigger things, she was always there for me.

Today I can't spend the day with her, but I am so thankful I was able to be home this past month with my mom and dad and sister. My mom truly  makes our family stick together, without her who knows how we would have ended up...probably a lot less organized, not well feed and not loved as much. She makes our family whole, and I am so thankful for the loving, caring, Godly woman that she is. I can only hope to be half as good as a mother as she is. And Bennett is going to have an AWESOME grandma!

My  mom and me at my 'surprise' baby shower she and my sister threw for me while back visiting!

26 weeks!

Weight gain/loss: Not sure, I am back in the States at my parents and they don't have a scale so guess I won't know for awhile!

Movement: YES! Bennett is a night owl, he loves to be most active during the night!

Sleep: Awesome! I am finally used to my parent's guest room bed and now I LOVE it!!

What I'm looking forward to: Getting back home to see my hubby I miss him so much!!! However that means I am leaving my family and that is sad =( BUT my parents and sister will be in Okinawa in just 12.5 weeks!!!!!!!!

What I miss: My hubby and Little Bella!

Cravings: Well today I JUST had to have a DQ Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Blizzard with EXTRA peanut butter cups!
